Over the past few years, Art Education Victoria and ICT in Education Victoria (previously known as Computing In Education Group of Victoria) have offered a face-to-face "Arts, Computing and Multimedia" course for teachers in Victoria. These courses proved to be very popular, and one aspect of the course - digital imaging - was extended to include an online alternative, which was hosted at http://www.jcsav.vic.edu.au/acam/.
While
the Arts, Computing and Multimedia courses are no longer offered, a revised,
stand-alone version of the materials has been developed and is now available
on CD-ROM.
The Arts, Computing and Multimedia (ACAM) CD-ROM resource materials are strongly focussed on the National Statements and Profiles, and the Curriculum and Standards Framework and are designed to link Arts Learning Outcomes and use of new Learning Technologies.
This CD-ROM includes video clips modelling the use of selected digital imaging tools, a curriculum unit on Surrealism at National Statement and Profile and CSF levels 4 and 5, technical notes on Photoshop in support of the digital imaging video clips, a library of images that may be used in your classroom, and links to various relevant websites.
It is designed to develop your knowledge of software programs and their use in the classroom, enable you to improve your knowledge of tools available in visual arts and assist you in applying the programs and creatively addressing Arts Learning Outcomes.
