South Oakleigh Secondary College
Explore the following themes through exciting practical workshops, presentations and seminars.
Patricia Piccinini needs no introduction to art teachers. She has fascinated, challenged and delighted Australia and the world with her art works from the Mutant Genome Project 1994-95, Protein Lattice, the installation and video art of Plasticology, We are family at the Venice Biennale, and with her recent 2008 show The Stranger, in New York.
John Kaldor is and has been a major force behind the development of contemporary art in Australia. Over the past forty years through Kaldor Art Projects, Australians have had the privilege of seeing internationally renowned artists such as Christo wrap cliffs, Gilbert and George perform and Jeff Koons ‘Puppy’ installed outside the MCA in Sydney. Art educators and their student are now about to benefit directly from John Kaldor’s considerable support and generosity.
