I took this photograph because I felt it represented a vital aspect of our culture as Australians. Australians of all ages risked and sacrificed their lives defending their beliefs and country, and in turn helped establish the Australian identity today. This magnificent building is a symbolic reminder of the events past. My folio was based on the idea of culture and that is why I felt it was important to acknowledge the presence of something that has played an integral role in our history and culture today.
