Teenage Culture

We were required to create and describe representations of teenagers and/or teen culture. We could choose between video and digital photographic formats to construct our representations.

My intention with this piece was to demonstrate the use of mobile phone technology, which has become almost a social necessity for teenagers today. The purpose of this piece was to demonstrate a representation of teenagers in various social situations. I did this by taking images using my actual mobile phone as well as taking high-quality shots and manipulating them so that they would appear as though they were taken with a mobile phone. After the images were printed and mounted I constructed typical messages in mobile TXT language and added them.
