Dutch Tulip Field
45cm x 65cm Acrylic paint, plywood board
My inspiration for this artwork came from my family’s background.
My mother’s mother was born in Holland and moved to Australia as a
young woman. She enjoys painting and has a lot of different pieces of artwork
around her home. For my artwork I used a variety of different coloured acrylic
paints and techniques. The main focal point in this painting are the tulips
which are in fields all around Holland, and the windmills which are also
found in Holland. I enjoyed working on this painting and I am pleased with
the result.
