I was inspired by the colours and sounds of a carnival, and wanted to capture the lively atmosphere. In this drawing, I used flowing ribbons to create a sense of movement and circles in the background to represent the colours, lights and sounds found at a carnival. The mask introduces a sense of mystery and anonymity; this shows another side of the carnival that contrasts with the bright colours and festivities.
