In art we looked at heaps of French paintings. I cut a piece of paper to
make a window and placed it on a French painting. The painting I chose was ‘The
Turning Road L’estaque’ by Andre Derain. I copied the painting
with grey lead pencil, copying what I could see in the window. Then I coloured
it with coloured pencils very carefully. The colours are bright and beautiful.
They are also warm and cool colours. I concentrated very hard on my picture
and it took me six lessons to draw.
