Love and Hate
The initial image was inspired by the works of Bill Henson and the effect
of religion on us all. Religion has become a key part in all cultures today.
This image explores the extremes of religion. Religion on one side teaches
us to “love thy neighbour” no matter who they are or “what
creed or colour”. But this is not what religion has become in many
parts of the world. Look at countries such as Afghanistan, Israel and Palestine,
Iraq and even Northern Ireland where wars are being fought simply due to
opposing religions. This is not what religion should be; religion is about
Love…But it is teaching us to Hate?
