‘Secret Garden’
A4. Water colour pencils.

My artwork was created by a mixture of techniques, by drawing with water colour pencils and collage with raffia. The theme represents a mermaid under water. Her hair represents a seaweed garden intertwining to show the flow of water, which is why I used green tones for her hair and collaged the raffia. I wanted something different for the theme, so I included fish darting in and out of her hair like birds in a tree. I was trying to achieve a different perspective with plant magic by having it set underwater tucked away in a magical place where we really can’t see.
