‘Evenstar Crown’
23cm x 23cm x 5cm. Wire, beads, metal chains, plastic clips and brooches.
My piece is a magical crown of woven wire, beads and jewels. Each bead tells a story as each leaf in a garden does. This is the crown meant to sit around elfin brows, whose kindred elves are known for their ways with all living things. I drew my inspiration from the magic of elves and nature and the stories of fantasy. Across the crown are butterflies, stars and flowers made from glass beads and wire. The piece is named ‘Evenstar’ because of the stars which rest upon the brow.
