‘Ancient Japanese Prunus’
19cm x 55cm. Tissue paper, oil pastels, paint, food dyes, cardboard.
Japan was the inspiration for my piece of artwork. I’ve seen pictures of Japan and I thought it was just beautiful. Japan makes me think ancient, so I drew this very old Japanese Cherry Blossom tree. In this picture the tree is in the very middle of a busy town, which is surrounded by mountains. Without the tree in this picture it would be very plain and boring.
