Emotion
20cm x 25cm. Multigrade IV RC deluxe resin coated base.
My aim in this photographic essay is to convey a different emotion in each photograph. To do this I have used facial expression, stance, tone, shape and cropping.
In 'Depressed' I used jagged edges creating a broken feeling.
'Alienated' and 'Angry' both have extreme contrast, highlighting the emotion.
'Mischievous' is intense and direct.
'Pensive' has soft tones with an open composition.
'Timid' uses naturally rounded lines and has been cropped.
In 'Curious' the girl is inspecting the viewer through the lens of the camera.
