Untitled
42cm x 59.5cm. Acrylic paint and pencil on paper.
We were doing some work on symbolism and I decided to draw some flowers in a pot. I outlined this with black because I wanted everything to stand out. I didn't use much colour because I wanted it to be simple. I put in the shadings because I wanted it to look realistic. I didn't paint the thorns because I wanted it different from the nice flowers to make it look like the bad side of the flowers (roses), so I made it dull. I didn't paint the pot because I thought that would have wrecked the picture.
