The Power of Freedom
29.7 x 21cm (x 2). Chalk and pastels.
I wanted people to feel a sense of freedom through the symbolism of the eagle. Using chalk pastels I produced my artwork. This enabled me to blend the colours together creating the realistic view of the eagle. The vivid blue in the sky was to emphasise freedom. The distinct lines on the wings and beak were to show the grace of the animal.
In the second piece I focussed on the eye because it symbolised the spirit of freedom that the eagle possesses. I have created a pattern using the word freedom to emphasise this point.
