During term three my class was studying Russell Drysdale. We learned about the three thirds where the bigger things are drawn on the first third and maybe all the way up to the last third. After we learned this we started our own paintings. First we looked at many prints by the artist and selected bits we liked from these prints. By using little bits of his paintings and lots of our imagination we created our own drawings of the Australian outback. His pictures helped us as we had never seen the outback.
