Country Memories

In 'Country Memories' I have drawn a montage of images from my experiences of life on my grandparents farm. I used a variety of materials - from corrugated paper to gouache. I wanted the work to exude a relaxed and spacious air which is what I find to be a unique aspect of Australia. The tissue paper was used to achieve a far away look. The line from Dorothea MacKellar's poem seemed to reinforce this idea of large distances.
